THE second Sounds for the Soul is almost here.
And it features the Bendigo Chorale, who have been entertaining crowds for almost 60 years.
Held at the Echuca-Moama Uniting Church the second concert kicks off at 2pm on Sunday, September 17.
This is the church’s third series and the chorale 10th group of performers introduced to the Echuca-Moama community.
The church’s Anne Peace said the acoustics in the church would enhance the performance.
‘‘It will be quite a performance and something everyone should be a part of,’’ she said.
‘‘We firmly believe that music is important in our community for health and well being of all. In these days of so much loneliness, isolation, depression and mental illness we have tried to make the performances in Sounds for the Soul affordable and accessible.
‘‘We used this quote as our inspiration: ‘Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. There is nothing like music to relieve the soul and uplift it’.’’
The Bendigo Chorale follows on from Mauricio Carrasco, a Chilean-Australian virtuoso guitarist, who wowed crowds at the first concert on August 13.
Tickets are $15 and available at the door.
