’TWAS one week before Christmas, when all through the town,
The Lions Club was stirring, and making a sound;
The baubles were hung by the Kerrabee Soundshell,
In hopes that everyone will sing to Jingle Bells.
Moama will once again come alive with the sounds of Christmas Carols on Sunday December 17 for the annual Traditional Carols by Candlelight at the Kerrabee Soundshell (pictured) in Moama.
Orchestrated by the Moama Lions Club, the countdown to Christmas will be celebrated with a range of music and entertainment by local performers, a huge variety of food on offer and of course a visit from Santa on the back of a fire truck.
This year there will be a special performance by the elves from Elf the Musical Jr by the Echuca-Moama Theatre Company.
The evening will begin at 5.30pm with the traditional Lions sausage sizzle. Everyone is encouraged to bring a chair or picnic blanket and join in with the carol singing.
Candles and programs will be available on the night. Each program gives you the chance to win one of two wonderful book prizes.
