GETTING to the end of the summer holidays and have kids with energy to burn?
Bring them down to the Echuca Basketball Stadium tomorrow and the following Thursday (January 25) at 10am.
For under 12 boys and girls players born in 2007, 2008 and 2009, Echuca Basketball Association will conduct a come and try session before the new domestic season starts in early February.
Support from the Shire of Campaspe and the basketball community will allow these two sessions to be held free of charge for participants.
The stadium is well equipped with air conditioning and if you are looking for an activity, bring the young potential basketballers down to the stadium.
The Echuca Basketball Association is offering reduced fees for 2018 and there has never been a better time to get your kids involved in a team sport that runs in a lovely local facility.
There will be some prizes on offer and the Association will provide icy poles at the end of each session.
It’s not often a holiday activity provides free training and an opportunity for junior players to come and try a new sport. Organisers look forward to seeing you and your junior player at the stadium.
Echuca Basketball Association President Phil Candy says he wants to increase numbers across all age groups.
‘‘These free sessions will allow players to meet other players who they would potentially be on a team with. Basketball is a great sport and we are lucky to have such a terrific facility. Our games go ahead all year round no matter how hot it is outside or how much rain there is because we are fortunate to have an all-weather stadium.’’
