THE Echuca Fire Brigade Annual dinner was held recently to recognise and celebrate those who risk their lives for the safety of others.

Held at the Echuca Workers, the night was filled with memories and good times as they looked back on the year that was.

Eleven brigade members were awarded service medals for their years of commitment to the team.

These members were:

Georgia O'Callaghan - 5 years

Colin Atkinson - 10 years

Vincent Rosenow - 10 years

Trish Ebert - 15 years

Colin Munro - 25 years

Marie Farrow - 25 years

Paul Nicoll - 35 years

Eileen Childs- 40 years

Lynette Cunningham - 45 years

Alan Trevena - 45 years

Ian Addicott - 55 years

The brigade introduced a new award this year with Maddy Zlateff receiving the Firefighter of the Year award.

Ian Addicott also received a life membership for his many years of service within the team.
